Two of Scotland's most iconic exports, whisky and golf, are coming together as independent Scotch whisky distiller, Loch Lomond Group, announces that they have agreed a five-year partnership with The Open, the oldest and most prestigious international Major Golf Championship in the world.

The good news for whisky drinkers like you and me is that as part of the partnership with The Open, Loch Lomond Whiskies will create a variety of limited editions, aimed at both golf fans and whisky aficionados alike.

It was Glenmorangie that previously sponsored The Open, a good move by Loch Lomond I would think, hopefully they do some affordable to drink limited editions.
