Color: Amber
Nose: Dried apricots erupt on the olfactory sense with marzipan and potpourri explosion. Passion fruit and berry melange with black cherries and blood orange peel entice. Caramel fudge takes a bow along with Lowney's cherry blossom candy.
Taste: Maple syrup and French toast come to the fore with cognac essences culminating in palate intensity. Walnuts are the stars of a nutty platter.
Finish: Long, vanilla bean ice cream and butterscotch swirl.
Comments: A delightful cask strength dram which soars in satisfaction and hosts a fruity profile.
Score: 94 _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

Thanks for you thoughts on this Murray, I agree, a very enjoyable cask strength whisky. Coincidentally Benriach have just launched a Benriach Peated Cask Strength to slit alongside this in the range which is also very good, I reviewed it here: http://www.scotchmaltwhisky.co.uk/benriachpeatedcaskstrengthbatch1.htm _________________ There's no bad whisky.
