|
|
The Balvenie has unveiled the Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch 3 which will start appearing on shelves here in the UK and worldwide from the 1st July.
A vatting of 31 casks, the Balvenie do reveal the age range of distillation of the casks but this info is not on the label.
I was drinking the new Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch 3 over the weekend and it is an absolutely outstanding, mature, deliciously sherry rich, honeyed Balvenie.
You can read more about it and my review of the new whisky here:

It looks tasty. Alas its a little to expensive for my pockets. Ànd as a drinker i couldnt bear to spend so much......id pass out.
But of all the latest ones, that bottle sounds like it would be a real 'Taster' |

Good to see them reveal the age range of the casks again. By my rough calculation the whiskies in tun 1509 batch 3 are between 23 and 27 years old. You can expect to pay around £400 for a Balvenie 25 year old, £260 isn't way over the top looking at it like that.
An impressive review, this does sound very good William, I have recently finished a bottle of batch 2, looks like I will be buying batch 3. |

| Sounds great William and just in time to treat myself for my birthday in July. I had a few of the Tun 1401 bottlings and it sounds like this is matching the best of those for quality |

| I am a sucker for a sherried Balvenie and this sounds like one not to miss so I will have a bottle. |
