|
|
Here are my own taste notes from my club's tasting last night for:
Aultmore 12, 46%, Bourbon Cask
Color:Gold
Nose: Apricot jam, honey dew melon, eau de toilette, lilacs in springtime and late candied plantains.
Taste: Medium-bodied. Fruit cocktail, speckles of demarara sugar and softened vanilla bean. Buttermilk pancakes and freshly baked banana bread are served.
Finish: Lingering, sweet tones wrapped in steamed grape leaves. Vanilla and honey perseverate with hot cocoa and whipped cream essences.
Comments: Light and satisfying. This one would make a great summer dram. The sweet profile maintains its style from nose to palate to finish with enough spice to turn it up a half notch to dial in the balance.
Rating: 85.5 _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."
