The Ardmore Port Wood Finish 12 year old is the newest addition to the expanding Ardmore whisky range. Matured for 12 years in American white oak and finished in European half port pipes, it has been bottled at 46% ABV and I am pleased to say is non chill filtered.

A lovely deliciously juicy Ardmore. Great to see an age statement on a new release and great to see an age statement on an Ardmore single malt.

A very well made Ardmore, the port finish has been timed to a tee, an excellent new addition to the Ardmore range which is sure to be a crowd pleaser and Ardmore know it, going by its RRP of £49.99.

Like most things these days RRP's seem to be designed so shops can offer big discounts. You will currently find the new Ardmore Port Wood Finish 12 year old available from The Whisky Exchange
for £45.75 which is a little closer to its true value.

Yes it is Fergie, I was expecting a little more of the Ardmore smoke but it has been tamed by time and the port pipes I think, very much worth a try if you enjoy a port influenced whisky.
