Glenmorangie Sells Scotch Malt Whisky Society

I thought I would give this a quick mention as I know there are a few Scotch Malt Whisky Society members amongst you. The Glenmorangie Company has sold the Scotch Malt Whisky Society to a group of private investors to allow the group to focus on its Ardbeg and Glenmorangie brands.

I wonder who the buyers are and what there plans are or if they will continue the set up as it is. It would be great to see bottlings available to non members but that is very unlikely to happen.
