|
|
The Glenfiddich Foundation Reserve is a unique single malt that has been drawn from a single cask, laid down in 1993. Bottled at a strength 0f 50.8% there will be only 500 individually numbered bottles available, making it an instant collector's item.
Glenfiddich have this very collectable single cask bottling to raise funds for the Benevolent Charity which was founded in 1886 to make a real difference to the daily lives of those who have worked in the drinks trade and need help.

A Glenfiddich 18 year old single cask bottled at cask strength and limited to 500 bottles, i think this one will be considered very collectable. |

I can't find it on the Glenfiddich website or TWE. Is it available yet? |

I forgot to post where you can get it.
As far as i am aware this will not be available in shops, only direct from The Benevolent.
If you would like to reserve your bottle, please e-mail: EleanorPerry@thebenevolent.org.uk
I wouldnt leave it too long before reserving your bottle. A great price, £50 per bottle, which will include all duties, taxes and delivery. |

Just thought i would mention that in the piece i posted here
www.scotchmaltwhisky.co.uk/glenfiddichfoundationreserve.htm
It states the Glenfiddich Foundation Reserve has a Cask Strength of 47%, i actually questioned this figure this afternoon and they got back to me saying that indeed it is an error and they will confirm what the cask strength actually is and get back to me tomorrow. I suspect it it will be 50.8% as this is what it states on the image of the box they sent me. See here www.scotchmaltwhisky.co.uk/images/glenfiddichfoundationreservelrg.jpg
Anyway when i have it confirmed i will post it here.

I suppose that 47% cask strength is a little low but not impossible. Anyway, the higher the better. |

£50 for a single cask 18 year old Glenfiddich, not bad at all. |

I would think it is priced at £50 as the Benevolent Charity will probably want to sell it quickly. |
