Introducing the Glenfiddich Foundation
Reserve
125 years ago The Benevolent Charity was
founded in 1886, the same year that the
first stone was laid to form the
foundations of the Glenfiddich
Distillery.
To commemorate this very special year
and to support the ongoing work of The
Benevolent they are making available an
exclusive bottling of Glenfiddich, the
world’s most awarded single malt whisky.
In the summer of 1886 William Grant the
founder of The Glenfiddich Distillery
set about laying the foundations by hand
with the help of his seven sons and two
daughters and a single stonemason. Five
generations on, The Glenfiddich
Distillery is still the spiritual home
of William Grant’s family who own and
run the company today.
The Benevolent was founded in 1886 to
make a real difference to the daily
lives of those who have worked in the
drinks trade and need help. Today, The
Benevolent raises at least £500,000
annually, helping more than 600 people
from across the industry by providing
them with regular financial grants,
sheltered accommodation, care home
facilities and welfare advice. The
Charity is solely supported by the Trade
through membership and fundraising
events.
Glenfiddich Foundation Reserve is a
unique single malt Scotch whisky that
has been drawn from a single cask, laid
down in 1993 and bottled at a strength
of 50.8% - this is one of only 500
individually numbered bottles, making it an instant
collector’s item.
The bottles will be sold at a cost of
£50 per bottle (plus a £3 processing fee
per bottle), which will include all
duties, taxes and delivery. All net
proceeds will go directly to the
Benevolent Charity.
