|
|
Glenfarclas have released a new limited edition to mark there 175th anniversary. Priced at around £80 i think and 6000 bottles available worldwide.
The Glenfarclas 175th Anniversary bottling has been created by selecting eighteen casks, with three from each of the last six decades - 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2000. Including the oldest cask in the distillery's warehouses; number 1711 from 1952.

I dont think this one will be around long to dont hang around if you want one.

| I like the look of this one, with a 59 year old whisky from 1952 in the mix. How many bottles here in the UK William, do you know? |

I guess it isnt coming here then. I think this is one of those rare good buys whether for drinking or for to add to the collection as Glenfarclas do knock out some real good stuff. |

Looks great, and am slightly partial to Glenfarclas
Does anyone know online dealers stocking this? I have had a look round and TWE and LFW didnt seem to have it in stock.

Sometimes TWE can be slow to add new whiskies, maybe worth calling them and if they dont have it yet they may reserve a bottle for you when they do get it.
Edit
I just noticed that Royal Mile Whiskies has some in stock - Max. 2 bottles per customer! |

it sounds like a scotch/bourbon highbred of sorts. Worth a try for sure, but I'll have to look into the cost.
Thanks for the post. _________________ Cheers, Swift

...that was a bit confusing.
Reading through the article the tasting notes were of aged caskets with toffee and vanilla tones; reminding me of bourbons I enjoy. I hopped over from one of the other sub forums and I guess I still had bourbon on the mind. _________________ Cheers, Swift

| I am sure it will be a 100% classic Glenfarclas sherried Scotch whisky. |

I hope so!
I know its not as popular at the moment as the smoky stuff, but I have a very sweet spot for the old sherried Highlanders! |
