First there was the Dalmore Dee Dram 12 year old which apparently is now a permanent brand, after a successful trial but it looks like there is also going to be a Spey Dram, Tay Dram and Tweed Dram. Well so i have read on the BBC:
"Whisky to aid salmon conservation on Scottish rivers
Fisheries managers on four Scottish rivers have launched their own whiskies to help pay for salmon conservation measures.
A trial batch of Dee Dram in Aberdeenshire raised £35,000 last year.
That has now been made a permanent whisky, with similar drams being created for the Spey, Tay and Tweed.
Managers at the Dee Salmon Fisheries Board said there are many miles of tributaries which need to be unblocked, and the money being raised will help.
They have started work such as removing dams."
Not sure if the Spey, Tay and Tweed drams are all going to come from Dalmore or perhaps a distillery local to each of the rivers. I cant seem to find anything else about it online. |

| This is the first i have heard of this Mark, good luck to them, its in aid of a good cause. I am sure some may be a bit annoyed that the Dee Dram is now going to be a permanent brand. |

| I would imagine the complete set will be quite collectable. |

Each expression within the Dalmore Rivers collection has been individually matured in a combination of bourbon American White Oak and the finest Oloroso "Matuselem" sherry wood from world-renowned bodega Gonzalez Byass, Spain. Each whisky in the Dalmore Rivers Collection retains the signature Dalmore style but each is very different from the other.
Bottled at 40% ABV, priced at £40, for every single bottle sold a minimum donation of £4 will be gifted to the relevant river trust or foundation.
What i did notice is they dont appear to have an age statement, wasnt the original Dee Dram 12 year old. Anyway these bottles are not a limited edition as Dalmore want to continue selling them in the future so they can raise as much money for the conservation of the rivers as possible.
You can read more about the new Dalmore River Collection including some tasting notes here:

| Just looking at the images of the new Dalmores Rivers Collection, you right William no sign of an age statement but on the label it states Season 2011 so they are effectively now a continuous series of vintage bottlings. There is still some bottles in the shop of the original Dee Dram, i wonder if the new bottlings will increase the value of this. |

| Just had a look on the royal mile whisky site and the official tasting note for the original limited release Dalmore Dee Dram 12 year old is identical word for word to the producers tasting note which William posted for the new 2011 Dalmore Dee Dram so is it an identical whisky if so why no age statement on the new bottle. |

hi all , just checked out 'royalmilewhisky' website and wat they hav is a picture of the 12yr old limited edition 09 dee dram and an 'official taste notes' description of the new 2011 rivers collection dee dram , and they r trying to say the 12yr old limited edition 09 is coming soon ! utter bull ! 3600 bottles of limited edition have been and gone , apart from a bottle or 2 at 60quid from , www.whiskymaltshop.com, to order any of the dalmore rivers collection drams i would advise 'www.onlinespirits .com' 40pounds each, 6.95 per order delivery in uk, i have ordered a dee and spey dram for 87quid total |

| I would imagine they have put some young whisky into the mix so now they cant state 12 year old on the new release. |

I wouldnt think there is much between them going by the official tasting notes but i wouldnt think that they have bottled the same whisky with just different labels. |
