Douglas Laing
unveil The Epicurean The Glasgow Edition
Ex-Cuvée Oak Finish.

The acclaimed
Lowland Malt Scotch Blended Malt Whisky
brand, The Epicurean, has introduced its
latest offering, a tribute to its
birthplace, the city of Glasgow. This
metropolis also houses its independently
family-owned parent company, Douglas
Laing & Co.
This exclusive edition harmoniously
blends the finest Single Cask Single
Malts sourced from the Lowland region of
Scotland. Subsequently, it undergoes an
extensive maturation phase in select
French ex-cuvée oak casks of exceptional
quality. This limited-edition gem is
presented at its pure cask strength of
50.4% alcohol, priding itself on being
devoid of artificial colouring or the
process of chill-filtration. With a
global allocation strictly set at just
5,100 bottles, this release is
anticipated to swiftly find its way into
the hands of enthusiasts.
The Epicurean is often described as "the
life and soul of the party" and a
discerning aficionado of gourmet fare
and exquisite beverages. This bottling
has been artfully crafted to encapsulate
these qualities. It is showcased within
a sophisticated black bottle adorned
with lavish gold foil accents, elegantly
encased in a premium gift tube. The
harmonious black and gold aesthetic
imparts a genuine feeling of opulence to
this offering. The tasting notes unfold
with "bursts of malted barley, delicate
vanilla blossoms, and invigorating lemon
zest," offering a dram that the Douglas
Laing team hails as nothing short of
"truly exceptional."
Commenting on this new bottling, Scott
Morrison, Brand Manager, said: "This
latest Epicurean Glasgow Edition is one
we are particularly proud of. The unique
finish is a first for the Douglas Laing
team and is a credit to the continuous
innovation and quality we strive to
achieve. The eclectic array of flavours
imparted from the French ex-cuvée oak
casks combined with the exceptional
packaging make this release one not to
be missed!"
