After a
couple of years absence the Edinburgh
Whisky Fringe Festival is returning to
the capital city this August 2022.
I thought I would give this a quick
mention as I am sure there are a few of
you that have missed it over the past
couple of years, the Edinburgh Whisky
Fringe Festival is back for 2022.
The 20th edition of the Whisky Fringe
festival will be held on Friday 12th,
Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th August,
2pm – 6 pm each day. The venue will be
the Edinburgh Whisky Fringe Festival's
long-time home, Mansfield Traquair, with
the Main Hall, Raeburn Room, and Garden
Marquee areas open for tastings and
experiences throughout the Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday sessions.
Each
session will play host to over 30
exhibitors from across the whisky
industry, showcasing classic drams from
iconic brands alongside new releases,
special editions, and independently
bottled treasures.
This year, following the cancellation of
the 2020 Whisky Fringe and previous
difficulties with Brown Paper Tickets'
refund process, they are taking the
ticketing in-house so that they have full
control over the sales and service right
from the word 'go'. Though this break
from BPT means that they are unable to
prioritise those who had 2020 tickets,
it also means that they can remove all
booking fees and ensure that ticket
holders get the excellent level of
customer service they would expect.
