Douglas Laing Double Barrel India & Scotland

Douglas Laing has unveiled their first-ever fusion of Indian and Scottish Single Malts under their Double Barrel brand—a blend that combines chosen whiskies from two distinct continents. This unique Blended Malt Whisky is said to deliver a flavour profile unlike anything experienced before.

A strictly limited release of just 2,000 bottles worldwide, this exclusive edition showcases the craftsmanship that defines every Douglas Laing whisky. By blending tradition with innovation, this whisky is said to offer an extraordinary depth of flavour.

The Double Barrel India & Scotland does not name the distilleries where the contributing whiskies in the blended malt whisky were distilled. The bottle is adorned with a hand-drawn illustration featuring the national animals of both countries—half Royal Bengal Tiger from India and half Unicorn from Scotland—symbolising the contrast and harmony within this exceptional blend. The Tiger reflects heritage and culture, while the Unicorn represents strength and purity.

This whisky is described as bringing together layers of citrus, spice, and barley with bold peat smoke. It's a truly special release, offering a unique tasting experience that Douglas Laing is proud to share with whisky lovers worldwide.

Commenting on the new whisky, Chloe Wood, Double Barrel Brand Manager, said: "The Double Barrel brand has offered several unique bottlings to date, and Double Barrel India & Scotland only adds further quality to the range. This release, which combines four single casks—two from India and two from Scotland—creates a symphony of flavours, a tale of two distinct terroirs, and a dram to be savoured."

Double Barrel India & Scotland has been bottle at 50% ABV, non-chill Filtered and naturally coloured, it has a RRP £75 and will be available f
rom specialist online whisky shops such as The Whisky Exchange and Master of Malt
