Compass Box
Flaming Heart blended malt Scotch whisky
is back!
Every
few years, when Compass Box have the
appropriate combination of aged
whiskies, they are able to blend and
bottle a new edition of the
award-winning Flaming Heart. I know many
of you, like myself will be very pleased
to hear that the guys at Compass Box
have bottled and released their fourth
edition of this outstanding blended malt
Scotch whisky.
It is a big, smoky malt whisky with
rich, concentrated vanilla and spice
character.
It is unlike any other whisky, owing to
the combination of distillery whiskies
they use and the variety and quality of
the casks.
This fourth release contains single malt
whiskies from distilleries located in
the Northern Highlands, Islay, Speyside
and Islands. Primarily from the south
shore of Islay and the village of Brora
(Highlands). The whisky was matured in a
combination of refill American oak
(ex-Bourbon), new French oak (heavily
toasted) and sherry casks.
Bottled at 48.9%. Not chill filtered and
natural colour, as you would expect from
Compass Box. This fourth release is a
limited release of 9,147 bottles.
If you would like to try the new edition
of Flaming Heart and you are in the
London area
then why not pop into
The Whisky Exchange Vinopolis shop
today September 13th between 5pm - 7pm
as John Glaser and the Compass Box team
will be there to let you try the new
whisky. This is a FREE event, you just
have to turn up.
