Compass Box mark their 15th Anniversary with a limited edition Flaming Heart.

Since launching back in 2000 the Compass Box Whisky Company have always aimed to experiment, to innovate and to explore where others wouldn't in the world of Scotch. Along the way they have ruffled a few feathers and they have also created some outstanding complex and very enjoyable whisky's to entertain us whisky drinkers including the deliciously rich and complex limited edition Compass Box Flaming Heart blended malt whisky which they first released back in 2006.

Flaming Heart is a great example of  the Compass Box Whisky Company ambition and therefore a very appropriate whisky to mark the independent whisky bottlers 15th anniversary.

Flaming Heart was the first whisky to combine the rich, complex spice of Scotch aged in new French oak with the evocative peat-fired smoke of Islay malt. It created a genre-defying, smouldering, spicy style that proved so popular Compass Box re-released it three more times in the years that followed.

In this, the company's fifteenth year, they felt compelled to revisit this unique style of Flaming Heart one more time. They tell me that their anniversary release is a huge, layered, long-lasting mouthful to enjoy late into the night. Brooding, indulgent and bottled on average once every three years - make sure you pick your bottle up while you still can!
