The experience begins with a private
tour of the Strathisla Distillery, the
oldest working whisky distillery in the
region, established in 1786. Following
this, guests will delve into Chivas
Brothers' remarkable history with an
Archivist, immersing themselves in the
story of this renowned distillery.
Guided by the expertise of Chivas
Brothers' team, the multisensory journey
continues in The Vault's remarkable
whisky library. Here, a bespoke
selection from 240 exclusive samples,
including distillates, aged whiskies,
and rare finds, awaits to guide guests
through a personalised tasting. The
experience culminates in The Vault
itself, where visitors will savour a
final dram amidst the fourteen unveiled
casks.
Within The Vault are fourteen casks,
none of which have been previously
available for purchase. These casks have
been meticulously selected by Chivas
Brothers' Blending Expert Sandy Hyslop
and Cask Expert Kevin Balmforth, who
together boast over sixty years of
experience and passion. Each cask,
ranging from the iconic Speyside single
malt The Glenlivet to the last remaining
whiskies from the now-closed Caperdonich
distillery, to the exceptional blended
Scotch Royal Salute and the newly
reintroduced Longmorn single malt, has
been chosen for its unmatched character.
Under the guidance of a Chivas Brothers
expert, whisky enthusiasts seeking to
own an exclusive cask will undergo a
tailored series of tastings to suit
their individual palate. They will then
discover their perfect cask match
available for purchase. This elevated
experience not only offers whisky
collectors a chance to own a piece of
Scotch whisky history but also an
investment in time, as each purchased
cask can be stored within The Vault for
an additional four years of maturation
before bottling.
