Douglas Laing
unveil Big Peat Boulevardier, a limited
release ready made cocktail drink with
their big peaty blended malt at its
heart.

Laing – Glasgow based independent Scotch
Whisky Blender, Bottler and Distiller –
has unveiled their latest creation: the
‘Big Peat Boulevardier,’ a handcrafted,
small-batch, cask-aged cocktail. Drawing
from the popularity of their iconic Big
Peat Islay Blended Malt, this release is
said to blend the rich, smoky flavours
of Islay whisky with the classic
cocktail’s sweet and bitter notes,
offering a distinct twist on the
traditional Boulevardier.
The Big Peat Boulevardier is aged in a
single ex-Big Peat Islay cask, bottled
at 29.5% ABV, with only 450 bottles
available in this limited release. It
combines signature Islay peat smoke and
sweet malt flavours with hints of spice,
oak, and bitterness for a perfectly
balanced profile.
Designed for easy enjoyment, Douglas
Laing tells me that it’s best served by
simply pouring over ice, stirring,
garnishing with an orange peel, and
savouring this unique take on an iconic
cocktail.
