Glenglassaugh Peated Virgin Oak Wood
Finish.
 The
Glenglassaugh Peated Virgin Oak Wood
Finish is one of four new wood finish
whiskies recently released by the
highland distillery.
Matured initially in first-fill American
oak casks this peated whisky was then finished for up to
two years in Virgin Oak casks
selected by Glenglassaugh Whisky Maker,
Rachel Barrie.
Non chill-filtered and natural colour
this Peated Virgin Oak Wood Finish was bottled at 46%
ABV and is currently available from specialist whisky shops such as
Master of
Malt

Morrison's Tasting Notes:
Nose:
Light caramelised sugar, toasted barley
and a lovely light peat smoke.
Taste:
Delicious Demerara sugars infused with a
lovely light peat smoke, vanilla toffee,
a gentle candied fruitiness and a lovely
light touch of vibrant oak spice always
in the background.
Finish:
Medium to long, a candied sweetness
which fades leaving some lovely oak
spice and the light peat smoke clinging
to the palate.
Comment:
An outstanding new addition to the
Glenglassaugh range, a very enjoyable
well balanced wood finish from
Glenglassaugh. The light peat smoke and
delicious sugars entertain from nose to
finish with the virgin oak adding its
touch to the pleasure. It is gentle but
certainly not docile, a delightful
whisky.
