For those maltmates based in the UK - I was in a Tesco supermarket last night and saw Ardbeg 10 reduced down to £37. A great price for a greatly loved whisky so I thought I'd post. |

Those prices gone yesterday but most stores look to have Old Pulteney 12 for £22 |

The Glenlivet Captain’s Reserve was £22.85 in Tesco today. Seems to be £50 everywhere else. Never tried it, but took a punt. |

I've noticed this myself that Tesco generally do two types of deal, national discounts changing every few weeks and local reduced to clear that varies between branches. |

Was in Solihull Extra today noticed 6 new budget whiskys. Left them all there but thought worth mentioning:
3 x NAS (unknown origin) - Glenfairn Speyside, Highland and Islay £20 each
2 x 10 yr olds - Aerstone Land Cask and Sea Cask £30 each

Stillman's Blended Malt £20 - it was sat between Monkey Shoulder and Copper Dog |

For £30 I was more than happy with the 2 Aerstone expressions and no doubt we should see them on offer at some point.
I also spotted the Glenfairn single malt range in Tesco, I haven't tried any of it yet, it says on the boxes that it is from MacGregor Ross & Co who I am not familiar with but their post code is Glasgow G2 5RG which is the postcode for Whyte & Mackays Dalmore House on St Vincent street, so possibly some of the Glenfairn comes from a Whyte & Mackay owned distillery. _________________ There's no bad whisky.
