|
|
Hi,
Many years back I bought a bottle of 25 yr old Aberlour. It was 1992, so that gives you an idea of the age of the whisky....
The bottle came in a beautiful wooden box - with a key. We've drunk about half the whisky (sadly) but even more troubling is the fact we've also lost the key.
So before i take a saw to the beautiful piece of furniture that is the box, does anyone have any idea if I can get a spare key? It's a simple enough design, but there's a spike in the centre of the lock barrel and the key had a hollow cylinder in the middle of it.
Many thanks in advance

| These are usually very basic locks, more for decoration than high security, ask friends and family if they have any old cabinet locks with keyys, they just may open it, failing that a locksmith will easily open this in a minute, good luck. |
