An intriguing and fun experience is having one's own "Infinity" bottle of whisky created by adding/blending your left over single malts into a central bottle, never letting it go empty by adding continuously over the years thus freshing it up and reinvigorating it over time.

I've had one particular one going for about a year now and currently it has about 7 or 8 single malts (including cask strength whiskies) in it and some that are premium quality if not better. I keep labels on the bottle indicating when I added a particular whisky, what it is and the quantity. It avoids having just the dregs in a given bottle and allows for experimentation and self-blending. The one I have going now is quite excellent.

If you have one going now or had one, I would be delighted to hear about it.

Cheers,

Murray

I have dabbled with my own "Infinity Bottle" in the the past but gave up on it, i felt i was losing more than i was gaining and now just finish whiskies which i particularly like and i occasionally blend some whiskies which i think will work for me, with never more than 3 whiskies in my blends.
