Hi all,

Hoping someone can help us. My grandpa left me a bottle of whiskey 6 years ago when he passed away and we have just found it again moving in to a new house.

It’s a ten year but we don’t know how to figure out when the bottle was purchased.

On the bottom of the bottle there’s a few markings:

On the top half - 1l. A backwards E. 73mm

Middle - 01

Bottom half - 0909. N1

Thanks for any help 🥰

Is there a label on the bottle, if so what exactly does it say, do you have a picture of the bottle.

I agree Brummie. I also wonder if the seal is broken or if it was opened. Sylvia should also know that the important point here is not when the bottle was purchased but when it was bottled in the first place.
