Bell’s Original Blended Scotch Whisky, 40%
Appearance- Mid rich gold, oily body in the glass.
Nose - Sweet, malty and clean, very low key.
Taste - Crunchy gingery malt, fairly smooth, oily mouthfeel, turning dry
Finish - Medium, woody, quite punchy, a little hot.
Conclusion- Bells has changed several times over the years, this one is pretty reasonable and drinkable neat, which is more than I can say of some of the past blends.
A decent blended scotch. |

| If I was forced to drink bells I would drown it in ice , cheap horrid whisky, if I wanted a blend on a budget it would be Aldi highland black 8 |

A decent blended scotch. | Totally agree, and I could say the same for the likes of the Famous Grouse and Grants. I dont drink any of them that often, when i find myself in a bar with no choice of single malts then i am happy to drink any of these three, but i dont find myself in a bar these days. |
