Six Dalwhinnie OB but to be fair the first 4 bottles were the purpose of this H2H , as they were all 43%, the final two were much higher strength ,just worth trying etc.

The first 4 bottles in the main were pretty decent but in truth the GOT bottle was average at best.
The 10 year was powerful and took water to tame it, neat it assaulted your nose and mouth.
The 1973 was a good one but compared to the 1966 OB it was way behind, the 66 is the Dalwhinnie daddy.

Order tasted and scores for nose, palate & finish

Dalwhinnie OB Tasting
Winters Gold 2021 bottle 43% - 80/81/82
15 year 2021 43% - 83/82/84
Winters Frost GOT House Stark 2018 43% - 77/75/76
Distiller’s Edition 2002/2017 43% - 83/84/85
Bodega cask 10 year 63% , drawn from cask at distillery - 86/86/84
1973 29 year 2003 Special Release 57.8% - 87/85/86

Only made brief tasting notes, here they area gain in order tasted

Winters Gold 2021 bottle 43%
The nose is a mixture of honey, orange, lemon and a little pepper, barley sugar, what I would call pleasant.
The palate is surprisingly spicy and surprisingly not that sweet which i thought it would be.
With time in the glass it does sweeten up a little, some barley sugar and orange are there.
Decent length of finish, just not that interesting to be honest.

15 year 2021 43%
Similar to Winters Gold which is to be expected but it has a little more going on, with a nice spice note.
This has better initial mouthfeel than WG but like that bottle not sweet.
On the palate there is some white fruit , a touch of apricot and a little honey, this just feels a little more substantial than WG.
Finish is pretty good , warm and spicy, good length.

Winters Frost GOT House Stark 2018 43%
I do not get a lot from the nose to be honest at first but then i detect, wafer, mango a hint of breakfast marmalade.
The palate is a little thinner than both WG and the 15 year and it has some bitterness also.
In fairness it does improve a little but quality wise it is very mediocre so it will be around 75 points maybe a little higher.

Distiller’s Edition 2002/2017 43%
Slightly raw on the nose, what i mean by that is slightly rough but sometimes that adds to the appeal, hopefully this is like that.
The palate has enough spice and power to get you interested, and sweeter than others in the tasting with a little mango and the faintest apricot but could be peach?
Finish is pretty long remaining spicy with a pepper kick on the tail.

Bodega cask 10 year 63% , drawn from cask at distillery
On the nose it is very spicy, the fumes singe your nose a little :)Hints of tangerine, honey and faint chocolate, not bad but I think water will improve this.
Pretty powerful taste wise as you would expect for 63% but perfectly drinkable without water and tasty with it. Plenty of fruit on show here, like a fruit salad really but without the pear chunks.
Finish is not as long as I thought it would be, still decent.
With water:-
The nose has really opened up , ginger, pepper and orange marmalade and the palate is really juicy but also quite hot, balance is not great but again entertaining.
The finish is really long now, still hot, and slightly aggressive.

1973 29 year 2003 Special Release 57.8%
Neat the nose is really spicy on the nose with rich orange, dark honey, mango & green gooseberry.
Nice mouthfeel but really hot, needs water , really juicy, with all the fruit on the nose translating to the palate.
The finish is long, fruity and hot.
With water:-
More fruit & spice are released and the finish is still long.
This is pretty good but not even close in quality to the 1966 36 year OB
