it was stated in their email communications:
'Orders are limited to one bottle per Member – but remember that you’ll have more than one chance to get hold of this release!' To be fair its seems priced at drinking prices. |
I was thinking that the CR would be limited as normal and then they would have a standard release which their would be lots of so could be found in shops.. |

House of Malt selling this for £149.99, and it's still in stock at Ardbeg. Usual 'private collection' rubbish.
Anyone who buys anything from HoM should be ashamed. |

"This private collector has collected it from the DHL collection point and brought it straight in with us... "
Had a little neckpour tonight and comes across quite pleasant, very reminiscent of the 10y/o, a touch drier ? Look forward doing a h2h on the weekend. |

Agree 100% really enjoyed it. Think whether it sells in the future depends on the price point £30 but regularly discounted to £25 would make it a go to daily drinker for a lot of people. |

Tried this last night. Found it quite robust and perhaps a little bit sooty? Drier mouthfeel than I'm used to with Ardbeg. _________________ Inverness Whisky

Of all the things that will never happen, this will never happen the most. even though I would love that pricepoint, I dont think well see an age stated ardbeg for 30 euros in our lifetime again, unless on sale ofcourse. I dont think its ardbegs market either to be a tescos daily drinker discount malt. |

Probably right and wishful thinking on my part Was basing it on the 10 often being around £37. Possibly an upscale of all Ardbeg prices and the 8 being regularly available for £37? |

Yeah, Ive seen the 10 priced down to around 37 quite a few times recently. I think it will also depend if they would keep it at higher strength, which I do think helps it a bit.
Tasting it again yesterday, it has quite a few earthy vegie notes in there, like onion and celery, and quite a bit of spice, almost like chilly spice, finish was a bit bland tho sadly. |

I wonder if this coincides with when some of the big distilleries started ramping up production and have loads and loads of stock sitting there? |

You have to ask what is the point then of listing, the cheapest auction site for selling is SWA with only £5 listing fee but if you post it to them you will just about break even?
Most of the other auction sites have 5-10% sellers charge, so that would be a loss.
Perhaps some of the flippers may get the message, that not all bottles can make easy money & quick money, here's hoping. _________________ Pour me a glass please. |

Indeed. A few less bottles may have been bid on if they knew Ardbeg were releasing more. |
