Highland Park launched a new label and packaging for all their bottlings last month. I havent came across any yet in the shops but if you are curious what they look like here they are:
12yo 15yo 18yo
25yo 30yo

Hi Mark
The new label and packaging is all part of Highland Parks plan to take over the world, well not quite. It is actually part of their new £18 million global investment masterplan to double annual sales over the next five years and become one of the world's top ten malts.
At Highland Parks site on 4th Sept 2006 it stated that the new bottle and pack will go on sale in major UK supermarkets later in the month, i havent noticed any in my local supermarkets yet but i would guess they will be making an appearance any day now.

As long as they dont change what is in the bottle they can do what they like with the packaging. Wonder when we will see the new packaging in the US.
Is the Highland Park 15 year old new or a limited edition or something as i am not familiar with it.

I am talking to myself now, is that a sign of madness?
Anyway curiosity got the better of me and i checked out the Highland Park website and the HP 15 year old has been aroud since 2003 in the UK. I just havent came across it in the US. Well for anyone like me who is not familiar with the HP 15 here is what it says at HP's site:
| Quote: |
First released as a UK exclusive in 2003, Highland Park 15 Year Old is a fabulously smooth, easy to drink single malt with a luxuriously light floral flavour and a gentle smokey finish.
Tasting notes
Colour: Full golden, clear and bright
Nose: Aromatic smokiness with a hint of camphor
Palate: Rich, initially sweet developing into a dry smokiness
Finish: Rich, long medium sweet then medium dry
Highland Park 15 Year Old has a remarkably complex nose with notes of camphor, peat and citrus fruits and flowers. The drying sensation on the finish leaves a rich smokey feeling and the immediate desire to refill your glass.
Most recent accolades
Silver Medal winner, International Wine & Spirit Competition 2006
Gold Medal winner, San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2006
Silver Medal winner, International Spirits Challenge 2005

I just need to get my hands on a bottle now.

Hi Andy are you asking yourself that question?
If I remember correctly the HP 15 usually sells for around £33 but I dont know how much you will get it for in the US but it is certainly worth trying if you are a Highland Park fan especially as it does not cost much more than the 12 year old.
Incidentally unfortunately the HP 15 is not a common site on mosts high street whisky shops in the UK. Perhaps the availability of all Highland Park bottlings will improve due to HP's "new £18 million global investment masterplan"
My guess would be the HP 15's lack of popularity would be related to its lack of availability. For example if you cant pick it up in your local store why would you pay between £7 and £10 delivery charges for a £33 pound bottle of HP 15 year old whisky. Thats almost 30% onto the cost.
