where did it come from? I wonder if someone switched them in a shop to get the 10 at Skye prices? |

Isn't that the point. Without stopping to read the label you don't notice until you drink it and their staff member did not notice either. I think you just take it with you to the shop and explain the situation. |

| If your not too bothered then that’s ok but by telling them you may get a good supervisor who may just do the right thing,, |

IIRC legally the onus is on the store to assume you are telling the truth, but the reality is that they don't and Tesco in my experience are a really bad offender for not believing their customers, I remember a couple of years back my mother had a right game trying to get an apple voucher card replaced that the incompetent cashier at the till failed to validate properly because she was too busy chatting to her co-worker.
I also once bought a bottle of whisky from Asda and discovered I had a security tag on the bottle when I got home, typical scenario of a young person manning the self-checkouts and in my experience young staff in supermarkets can never be arsed to do their job properly so they never bothered to check my bottle when verifying I was over 18! I got home, saw the security tag, and saw it was below the cork so I could still drink the whisky, but figured I would do Asda a favour by going back in and explaining things so they could have their tag back. The cheeky sods demanded I show them proof of purchase! I very nearly told them where to stick my bottle sideways tbh when they did that!
To this day I wonder what would have happened if I had refused to show them proof of purchase, would they accused me of being a shoplifter? Wouldn't put it past them! |
