Apologies if this has been asked before. Just wondered if anybody has tried the Glen Marnoch Islay from Aldi. It only £16.49, so tempted to take a punt. And does anybody have any suspicions as to which distillery they think it might be?
Cheers.

I thought it could possibly be a young Caol Ila, it is pretty good for the price. I had a bottle of the Aldi Glen Marnoch Highland expression also but couldn't finish it, the Highland expression has a decent enough sherry influence but it was too young.

Cheers Rob. Definitely going to give it a go at that price!

Just give it a go, it’s not that bad, I thought there speyside wasn’t too bad either but the highland just missed the average mark, on the islay, there enough peat to tease you and the 40% is a shame but for £16 I’m surprised to see people pick up a grouse instead, yuk.
