110% just in the last 2-3 years. Even new distilleries are splashing healthy prices on 3-5 year old... to be honest Ive tried some new ones but unlikely going near again due to the pricing. Im buying less indi bottles now than a few years ago as the general choice out there is enormous and a high price indi 10-12 year old is less appealing to a large distillery new cask edition in the same range.

The indi and new distilleries should tread with caution. Its like there has been a change before our eyes that its normal for them to price so high, in an attempt to make them more elite.

Ben nevis 1996 bottlings.

They have such a reputation for being great. They sell out straight away, but it's the independents that are bottling them and not the distillery.

FOMO.

Having said that, Adelphi and North star for me supply some great drams and their prices have remained fair.

Any other Indy bottlers that are fair on price?

Carn Mor are pretty decent IMO.
