| I guess it depends on how much money you're hoping to make from it! We can give you plenty of nominations that will not lose their price and will most likely increase over time, but perhaps not to the extent that you may be looking for if you're hoping for whiskies that cost £100 today that you can flip for at least double the cost down the line. |

Just drink and enjoy it! Life is too short, and money isn't everything! _________________ DIM |

Another tip is to join the Ardbeg Committee (their free fan club) if you haven't already so you can become privy to their periodic limited edition bottlings early. Ardbeg is crazy popular so there's a real problem with their LE's selling out fast and being flipped on auction sites, but again if a specific bottling happens to generate more than the usual positive chatter, it's gonna become a much sought after bottling with time. |

Good Morning,
Thank you for the tip. I joined the Ardbeg Committee this morning. I am starting from the beginning. I will be purchasing some just to enjoy but would like to keep one for a possible return. Where do they sell from may i ask? |

Ardbeg sell their limited bottlings through their own web store first, often at a higher ABV than the eventual mainstream release as well, so just keep an eye out for their newsletters.
For now you really need to develop a rudimentary knowledge of how the main regions of Malt whisky taskes I guess (Speyside, Highland, Islay, Campbeltown, etc).
Not sure what whiskies you've tried, but Glenmorangie 10 or Glengoyne 10 are as good as any to start with for Highland malts. Speyside there are no big deals on Amazon at the moment aside from Aberlour 12, but you could check supermarkets for Glenfiddich 12 as that regularly drops to £25.Islay, if you've never tried a heavily peated Islay malt then you might be better off buying a shot of Laphroaig or Ardbeg in a pub just to see if you like that distinctive, bold, smokey style, but if you want to jump in both feet first then amazon are selling Ardbeg 10 cheap. Save campbeltown for later once you've got more knowledge of the three main whisky styles, as IMO campbeltown whisky is quite subtle and a bit like the best of all the regions. |

Don`t worry about investment & values, worry about what tastes good, what you can find at a reasonable price and what you can afford to drink. _________________ Pour me a glass please. |
