Just a heads up that Tomatin are now offering their distillery exclusive single casks (the ones normally available for their bottle your own) on their new online shop. The choice of casks is almost identical to when I visited the distillery two years ago - they're not exactly value for money, but in terms of quality and choice Tomatin are among the best for distillery exclusives.

Thanks for that Alex, and useful to have another look at your notes from your distillery review.

Cant afford the more expensive options but the bourbon cask or virgin cask are tempting.

Personally I still have about half of the Oloroso cask that I bottled in 2018 and I'm tempted by the 2007 Bourbon - can't beat some easy Tomatin fruitiness. I notice the older Bourbon cask is still from 1990 as it was two years ago - at that price it wouldn't surprise me if it's the same cask I sampled, except two years older. It was easily the pick of the bunch, but not a price you can justify paying for an everyday whisky.
