Debris in bottle

I recently purchased a bottle of 21 year old Aultmore-Glenlivet just prior to the ‘crisis lockdown’.
It is a Warehouse Tasting bottle from a single cask.
When it arrived I immediately noticed bits of wood lying in the bottom of the bottle. I assume they are small bits of the barrel from when the bottled was filled. It is unchilfiltered, possibly ‘rough filtered’ I’m told by a friend.
Should I filter these out myself before drinking or leave the bottle as is until I can contact the presently closed down distillery in Campbeltown.
I’ve been buying and sipping many of the Cadenhead expressions for over 10 years but this is the first time a bottle has arrived with ‘ sitting tenants ‘.
Advice will be appreciated.

It sounds like it was rough filtered or perhaps filled straight from the cask and you have been unlucky and got some larger bits of char in your bottle but they should be harmless. You could rough filter it again yourself , I have done this in the past and it didn't effect my enjoyment of the whisky. Of course if it tastes off in anyway get on to Cadenhead when you can.
