| What whisky screams Christmas to you. Is there a bottle(s) you always have to have open for the holidays? Redbreast for me always crack a bottle open for Christmas week. Anybody else? |

It's funny you should say that. One would think a fancy single malt would suit the bill. The one that screams holiday season to me is a blend actually, J&B Rare (Justerini & Brooks) with over 6 million cases a year sold worldwide. Made with 42 whiskies (something for everyone....). _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

| For me the ultimate Christmas drink has got to be aberlour a'bunadh. It’s all rasins and Christmas cake flavours! |

Is it the chairman's reserve from waitrose? If you like spiced rum give the Foursquare spiced rum a go best spiced rum I've ever had not heavy on vanilla like a lot of them and reasonably priced. |

Is Chairmans Reserve Spiced Rum nice? I want to branch out from whisky and try other spirits and I'm looking for a good starter sipping rum.
Christmas whiskies: I think Redbreast 12 is a great shout, but I would also add Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban and also their Lasanta and Midwinter's Night Dram. Glenfarclas 15yr would be good too I bet. |

| Chairmans reserve spiced is so nice and from start to finish I enjoyed every sip, as we know we are all different but I'd be surprised if you didn't enjoy it, a close friend bought it me for my birthday, as I'm not a rum drinker and was a bit worried but all was good . |

Mount gay black barrel is a good crossover rum IMHO. Very whisky like for a rum. Also worth checking out the fat rum pirate for some honest rum reviews. |

| Cheers guys, placed an order for Chariman's over on amazon because it's only £21.99. If I like it I'll give that Mount Gay Black Barrel a crack as well! :D I've bookmarked that site as well Redders, thanks. |
