Had a great evening last night in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada at the Companions of the Quaich single malt evening and dinner. Three whiskies were presented during the structured tasting, one of which I presented,i.e., Cadenhead Linkwood 11 Year Single Cask, 288 bottles, 58.7% ABV. The other 2 were Cooper's Choice Laggan Mill ("The Secret Islay") which I suggest is a 10 year old Lagavulin at 57.5% ABV and Cadenhead Glen Ord 13 Year, Companions of the Quaich special bottling,, 2005, 55.1% ABV. A memorable cask strength flight of whiskies.

There is always good humour, bagpipes, plenty of kilts, fine food and drink at our Companion evenings.

Sounds a very nice evening.

What was the Glen Ord like?

I am intrigued by this distillery. Might have to explore it a bit more this year.

Cheers

Actually, this Glen Ord was the hit of the evening. Exceptionally good. Cheers.
