The Springbank distillery in Campbeltown has released Local Barley expressions before, though there hasn't been one quite a while. This 16 Year Old Local Barley is the first in a series of five expressions to be released over five years. They have used barley grown at Low Machrimore Farm in Southend, which is just a few miles outside of Campbeltown.

There is a shop selling it for Â£355 and there average price in the last 3 auctions is Â£300

So if you are wanting anything near Â£700 you need to hold onto it for another 10 years or so..

Fair enough.

I found a shop online that was selling it for Â£700, hence the link to that site.

Whether that price is "wrong" or "right"....i'm not here to debate what's out in the market.

If you plan to give more insight on market prices...please feel free to do so.

Low Â£285- high Â£320 ala whisky auctioneer minus listing fees. I tend to use them, personally.
