|
|
Scotch whisky maker Whyte & Mackay has become the latest producer to enter the low-alcohol category with the launch of 21.5% abv Whyte & Mackay Light.
Whyte & Mackay Light will launch in Tesco stores in the UK from early June with an RRP of £12 (US$15) per 700ml bottle.

So for £12 for 21.5% it is around the same price as the 40% blends are often sold for. Of course there will be less duty so a bigger profit margin at that price.
Strikes me as a pointless product, either dilute the original or use half as much with a mixer. Although I'm sure someone will buy it |

| I can dig it. It's like Pimms or something but with a whisky profile. |
