Hi
Similar to the last posting on here - i am a non whisky drinker who needs help and advice!
My dad absolutely loves his Malt whisky and i usually try to find him something different to his usual tipples to try.
HIs absolute favourites are Laphroig, Talisker, Lagavulin. I don't think he particularly likes Glenmorangie. Last year i took advice from a friendly off licence in Dartmouth, Devon who recommended Smokehead and he really liked that too.
I am hoping that you can recommend something different for him - budget is around the cost of the above favs.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

Hi Sarah
If his favourites are "Laphroig, Talisker, Lagavulin" then i would recommend Ardbeg, you can get the Ardbeg 10 year old for just under £30 and many including myself rate this as the best whisky in this style that you can get in this price range.

Hi Sarah
The Ardbeg 10 Keith mentions is excellent and going by what your dad already likes he would love it.
Others i would suggest which he may not have tried are:
Compass Box The Spice Tree
Laphroaig Quarter Cask
Laphroaig 10 year old Cask Strength
Talisker 1993 Distillers Edition on offer at The Whisky Exchange for £35

I am sure it is collectable but maybe not as collectable as the 1st release. Still interesting to try if you havent tried it yet, not a bad young whisky and a good indicator of things to come. I assume The Whisky Exchange will get some in which should save a few pound on postage if combined with other bottles.
