What are everyone's thoughts on Convalmore? Retail prices are double what the bottles are going for at auction, which is understandable. It is above my budget for drinking, but is it a worthwhile, long term investment? It will be good to get some opinions on the matter!
Cheers. |

I have tasted a couple of very impressive independent bottlings of Convalmore in the past, it doesn't quite get the iconic status some other closed distilleries receive from drinkers, collectors and investors but as time goes on I am sure it can only be a good investment for the future.
I have always wondered if either William Grant who owns the distillery buildings or Diageo who owns the Convalmore brand name will ever resurrect the whisky. |

| Convalmore is one I haven't tried but I have seen good reviews though, I cant see why it wouldn't make a good investment. |

Convalmore is a good whisky but as mentioned already it is not one of the Iconic closed distilleries and looking at auction prices they seem to have flattened out over the last 12 months or so.
In summary it will probably make steady gains but nothing spectacular. _________________ Pour me a glass please. |

| Thanks for the responses everyone! I know it's not a Port Ellen or Brora, but for a closed distillery I just expected it to be doing better at auction...decisions! |

The best decision you can make is to buy a bottle and drink it _________________ Pour me a glass please. |

| Pretty much the same with neighbour Pittyvaich. The Flora and Fauna version is probably most often traded at auction and prices havn't really changed much for a year or two. |
