Just come across Compass Box's "Tobias and the Angel". Pretty presentation. But hefty, hefty £450 price tag. Yet it is flying off the shelves. Why the excitement? Any ideas?

Seemingly, a vatting of 50.9% Clynelish whisky matured for 24 years in American oak hogsheads, and 49.1% Caol Ila matured to a ‘considerably older age’ in the same kind of cask.
Bit of a hazy statement on the Caol Ila's vintage. |

Happy days.
Edit to add - think of puddings. And more pudding elements (apples, pears, caramels, peaches, honey). Add a touch of sherry and wood, mix it up and give it some waxy richness and that’s someway of describing it. |
