William I have had a bottle of the 2006 Vintage, your description and rating sums it up well. I agree the 16yo would be more tempting in a 1 litre bottle for £80, it does sound good though but I don't have any plans to travel in the near future so I wont get the chance to get a bottle any time soon.

OP tasting event today, tried the 16 and a great tasting dram, likely pick a bottle up next week.
Also stand out was the Old Pulteney 1990 Vintage 26 year old, been on the radar, but Wow, it's a beauty at £288.

May look out for these actually - was assuming NAS and very expensive when I saw "travel retail exclusive" (too cynical perhaps!). Prices are ok bad save for the 16 yr and glad they have age statements.

£54.99 looks like the quoted price on the World Duty airport websites too.

That's the thing with RRPs it is just what the whisky companies recommend a whisky should be sold for, the seller can sell for whatever price they wish. In the case of World Duty Free they are usually handing out £5 off vouchers at their airport shops, £5 off a £70 spend if I remember correctly.

The 2006 vintage is new packaging, was on sale before the square boxes in the oval tubes. Ive just picked up an older duty free release in Edinburgh, a 35cl Noss Head.
