Macallan 25 Anniversary 1972 Vintage

I have a bottle of Macallan 25 year old Anniversary Malt 1972 Vintage/Distilled Date. The bottle date is 1998. I believe that the bottle is a USA issue as it is 750ML. The bottle seems to be in perfect condition with the original wooden box with leather straps.

I may consider selling this item, but would like to get a little more information on it. At the end of the day, I am a Bourbon guy so my thought is that this should be with someone who will truly appreciate it.

1. Does anyone know how many bottles of this edition were issued?
2. Does the USA packaging and bottle size have any bearing on the value?
3. The box I have is furnished with leather straps, and while I have seen identical ones online, it seems like the ones that go for big money for this year are without leather straps.
4. There seems to be a misspelling of the word "Whiskey" on the bottle. On this one it is spelled "Whisky". javascript:emoticon('') ( A joke from your friend across the pond)

I don't think the Macallan ever revealed how many bottles were issued and I would guess most have been drunk by now, hence the auction price it is now achieving.
