Hi All,

My little one will be 8 weeks old tomorrow. I’ve now started seeing bottles bottled in August, September and even October now available, but if you see anything bottled on the exact date 30/8/18 please let me know.

Thanks

Rob

Your best bet would probably be to scour the auction sites for hand-bottlings, there's bound to be one.

I had a hunt... Found 58 bottles bottled in August this year. None on the 30th unfortunately! Closest in August I found was the 17th. And it was a bottle that was in my cupboard!

How did you go about a hunt - just looking at which in your collection or googled it?

Distilleries who do hand bottled expressions will have done loads on the 30th August.
Look out for them appearing at Auction.
Glendronach, Aberlour etc.

A good place to start is a date search on WB.

Your best bet I’d say would be independent bottlers. I scoured shops for ages when my first was born and eventually found one with the correct date in the Gordon & Macphail range. I don’t know if you could phone some of the independents and they might tell you what was bottled on that day, but that might be worth a shout too!
My boy was also born on the 30th August this year so if I find anything for him I’ll let you know.
Congrats and good luck!

Just an update on this.

I've emailed round several whisky shops/independent bottlers with no joy. It generally seems to be that if any dates are kept it is usually just the month and not the specific day of that month.
My only other idea would be asking distilleries but then i would doubt very much that they would be able to pinpoint a precise bottle if they're firing them out at commercial sales speed.
Does anybody have any other suggestions?

Thanks
