FAMILY-owned Scotch whisky brand Glenfiddich is to invest £1 million on a major marketing drive to win a bigger share of Christmas season malt whisky sales.
The firm, which latest research shows is in poll position as the UK's best-selling single malt, is to launch the campaign on November 8 based on the fact that the whisky was first distilled on Christmas Day in 1887.
It will include the strapline "inspiring great conversation since Christmas Day 1887".
