Hi all, I have a Signatory Bowmore 1998 aged 16 years ( cask No 800152 ).
It is bottle number "1" of 233. Does it being bottle number 1 add any value?.
I haven't seen any other number ones for sale in any retail outlets. |

Hi Buncie. Number 1 bottles of a short run series are neat and unique. Added value can be a factor depending on the overall value of a particular whisky and its absolute demand in the market. If you relate this to collectibles in general, the Number 1 of any item is often worth more. As regards your particular bottle, I'm not sure if that "one" would add any significant value but as I mentioned, it's unique and I would definitely hold on to it for a while. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

Yes that all makes sense. I only paid £95 for it in 2015 so I'm not expecting the value to go down.
I bought it at Edradour distillery shop. The lady was just putting them out at the time and had put the No1 on the shelf by mistake as they apparently always keep the No1,s of any bottling. |
