Was anyone here involved in the chaos with Royal Mile Whiskies this morning? My Dad was at the shop at 09:45 (far too late!) and I was unsuccessful online. A shame because I was keen to try and win the trip to the distillery!

However, I managed to get a bottle from Luvians so it was not an entirely wasted morning online.

Exact same as you, Amateur hour on the royal mile whiskies website this morning had the bottle in my basket numerous times but kept crashing. But like you I got one through luvians so delighted with that.

Happy days! I think Luvians caught a few people off guard with their launch, so it was a bit easier to get through. I was watching Twitter like a hawk haha

What was the price on these? Young and expensive by any chance. Always a gamble to know if they are any good, or value for money. Read that Daftmill character is lost in some of their other bottlings with the cask dominating.

Would love to try some of these, just not confident I'd want to buy a full bottle and then feel disappointed with it, might pluck up the courage in time..

Ill phone Luvians in the morning to check if any left, tempted to gamble.

Â£145 for the bottle, luvians sold out there 230 bottles within 3 1/2 minutes going by there twitter account.

Don`t worry if you did not get a bottle they will be at an auction site no doubt within weeks.I wonder how many people who queued up actually had any intention of opening the bottle, sure there will have been some drinkers but a majority of Daftmill bottles end up on the secondary market pretty quickly, sad really.
