Apologies if this has already been covered. And if this sort of topic is frowned upon! But I'm a low earner & need a "go to" budget whisky from time to time. What are peoples thoughts? I'm thinking:

Glen Moray
Tamnavulin
Glen Keith
Aldi Speyside

I've seen all these sub £20 recently but never tried them. I appreciate any suggestions & will no doubt try some over the coming months.

Glen Morays Classic range is good for the price and Aldis single malts are also worth a try.

For the price Glen Moray is hard to beat, the sherry finish is pretty good for the money you pay.. if you are UK then just keep an eye on the supermarkets for the reductions..

If you can stretch to £25 once in a while I think there are lots of excellent options available (on offer usually). Highland Park 12, auchentoshan American oak, old pultneny 12 (delicious), etc.

Example: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Old-Pulteney-Year-Malt-Whisky/dp/B001HUA7N2/ref=sr_1_28?s=alcohol&ie=UTF8&qid=1533233530&sr=1-28&keywords=whisky

Ardmore legacy is often sub £20 (Amazon currently), you might find an old label Jura for little money in a supermarket as they have recently rebranded

Thank you. I've had The Highland Park at £25 before & love it. Old Pulteney was £22 in The Co-op today & I nearly bit! Never tried Auchentoshan American Oak, but love their Three Wood. I've also yet to try Ardmore Legacy, so will look out for that.
Thanks again for all the suggestions.

Not sure. Called in today & it was £22.49. I had around £20 on my Co-op card & used my NUS discount card too & so picked up a bottle for 0.36p!!

Thanks for all the suggestions.

To quote some of the others, Highland Park 12 is a good shout. I'm also a fan of stuff from Ladi or Lidl (like Ben Bracken or Glen Alba). For the price I think they punch above their weight.

The Shackleton Blended Malt is good for the money and can be found for as little as £20, it is a nice daily sipper.
