Hey everyone,
In the last five weeks I have completed my training to become an International Scotch Whisky Brand Ambassador in Bangalore, India. I aim to become an active member within the Scotch Whisky community, specifically to champion blends.
I would welcome anyone to reach out and connect with me. My instagram handle is @declanmccrossan if you would like to keep up with my journey.

Welcome to the forum Declan, they do enjoy their whisky (or Indian form of whisky) in India and it is potentially an enormous marketplace for quality Scotch blended whisky. I assume it will be the Chivas Brothers blends that you will be representing such as Chivas Regal and Ballantine's, they do have some quality expressions which should make your role easier in India. I haven't been following it lately, what's the tariffs on Scotch whisky like now, hopefully they have been lowered which should also make your job easier. Enjoy your new role and time in India and keep us updated with what's happening with the Chivas Bros whisky portfolio. _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |

What a great job to land, all the best with it. I am a long time fan of the Chivas Brothers blends.
William the last I recall reading is that tariffs on Scotch whisky in India were still around 150% which puts it out of reach of most of the population but there is still a huge amount of whisky drinkers there who can afford it. |
