Anyone get lucky with the ballot for the 300 bottles of Eden Mill?
Anyone sampled it yet?!
New here, hello kindred drammers. I'm just getting into the higher end stuff, thought this one might be a nice one to keep until their first age statement is released to compare. Unfortunately I entered the ballot but wasn't successful. I guess some people may not take it up and more will come available. |

| I thought about it but decide not to try for a bottle, I thought £500 was a big ask. |

What does any new distillery do in the interim; surely to stay viable they need to be producing something saleable.
Seem like they have a good team behind them... But you're right the £500 they were asking for the bottle is prohibitively expensive and just think of the whiskies you could be buying from established distilleries for that cash.
Still keen to hear what its like though, just may have to wait another 7 or so years! |

It's a failry well known business model now for new distilleries - they produce Gin and Vodka to maintain good cashflow and income which affords them time to produce Whisky.
I'm guessing many people like to collect 'First Editions' as investment opportunities. Personally, I think they're mad but there you go

| I may be wrong but I cant see the likes of this bringing a huge or even any return as an investment, perhaps in the very distant future if Eden Mill turns out to be a brilliant whisky but as a short or even medium term investment I don't think this would be a good buy at £500 a bottle. |

| I bought one at £395. Also tasted it, smooth with the taste of a much older whisky. |
