| Has anyone had success with the ballot for this? I hear the Macallan shop had run out at 9.30am, odd considering the shop doesn't open until 10am. Apparently they were turning people away before it had opened? |

| I haven't heard anything from the Macallan regards the Folio 3 ballot but they did say that they would contact successful entrants to the ballot by the end of June although the ballot did close on 15th May. So there is still a little hope yet. |

I heard that only the first 150 in the queue got a bottle. Everybody else turned away. Think they did the same with the Folio 2. Then put more on the shelf unannounced at a later date.
Think the ballot email said notification before end of June.
They really are very disorganised when it comes to limited releases.
You'll never get an answer to an email asking for info. |

I was in tbe neighbourhood on release at shop, during the Speyside Whisky Festival and had chat with locals who had said people travelling up from Glasgow to be in line. Queue started early hours, think it was around 6am! One local showed me a photo he took.
It was certainly talk of the area as when I was in Glenfiddich shop buying a festival bottle the staff were talking about the craziness at Macallan.
Think they'd never seen anything like it.
I've entered the ballot, and fingers crossed. |

Ive been successful.
They have people where they want them, people will pay the money and will continue to do so. Ive bought mine for the purpose of giving it to my son on his 18th.
Ill be watching th SWA this weeked as I suspect some bottles will be on there.
Good luck everyone! |

I entered but have heard nothing so I am assuming I have been unsuccessful as I don't see many ballot winners not taking up the offer of a bottle. _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |
