It has probably been inspired by stories of piracy on the river Livet Laughing Seriously I haven't heard of this but I will look out for it in Asda

The Glenlivet Captain's Reserve has been finished in Cognac casks, so should be rich and fruity, it is a no age statement single malt and priced at £45

Bold pricing for a NAS whisky in a supermarket and probably a sign of things to come.

Without trying this, I'd likely buy another bottle from the shelf and have some change. It's going to have to do some more for me to buy this e.g.. a price cut... might be marketting ploy. Always see Dalwhinnie Winters Gold and Cardhu Gold Reserve at a silly price and then price cuts regularly.. Just a thought.

Was the withdrawal of the Glenlivet 12 perhaps a planned move to reposition the pricing.

It’s the founders in disguise... No surprise the 12 has jumped up in price.. probably a way of slowing down sales in order to help stocks recover fully..

If it says reserve, it's not.

Along with "batch strength" and a host of other meaningless waffle

maybe theres plenty of the founders reserve left they put it into cognac barrels for a while to get rid of it
funny they put a nas at £45.00 then a 12 year old at £ 38.00 talk about shooting yourself in the foot
I cant quite work out old stock if tescos are shifting it they would sell quite a few I would have thought its new we will have wait and see
I thought the 12 was coming back anyway read it somewhere ?
